Grade 1 Learns How to Make Balloon Animals and Shapes
Grade 1 students at Zakho International School, a SABIS® PPP school, learned how to make balloon animals and shapes on December 5, 2015.
First, students were split up into two teams. While the first team learned how to make shapes from balloons, the second team learned how to twist the balloons to make animals.
The Activity Coordinator taught them how to make the animals and shapes, as well as monitored the students’ progress. The students also watched an instructional video, explaining how to twist the balloons into different shapes and sizes.
“We really enjoyed this activity. We had a lot of fun making different shapes such as animals, hearts, and other objects,” the students said. Such an activity was held to teach students how to follow directions and bond with their fellow classmates.
