Grade 3 Students at Zakho International School Participate in Spelling Bee

Students in Grade 3 at Zakho International School, a SABIS^® PPP school, participated in a Spelling Bee on Saturday, January 17, 2015.

The participating students had practiced for a week in prior for the Spelling Bee. Parents were invited to the competition, which gave the students extra support when they were trying to spell the words given to them.  The Spelling Bee competition ended with trophies and certificates handed over to the students who won first, second, and third place. All the other students were given a certificate of appreciation for attending the competition and giving it their best effort.

The Spelling Bee encouraged students to practice academic material home, as well as to spell words correctly. Grade 3 students were glad to participate in this event and parents were just as excited to attend.
