Grade 4 Students in Zakho Visit the Zoo

On December 16, 2017, Grade 4 students at Zakho International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, took a school trip to the zoo.

At the zoo, students learned about the different animals they saw, including monkeys, zebras, horses, dogs, bears, lion, tigers, etc. The students also experienced feeding the different animals their favorite foods. Later, the students took pictures with the animals and sat together for their own lunch time.

The purpose of this activity was to teach students about the animals, and turn what they are learning in the classroom into reality. “I like seeing the animals in real life, now I know what they really look like,” shared a student.
