Honor Students Recognized at Zakho International School
Honor students in all grades at Zakho International School, a SABIS® PPP school, were recognized for their hard work and dedication to their studies on Sunday, December 6, 2015. Responsible for organizing this event was the SABIS Student Life Organization®’s (SLO®) Academic Department.
The Academic Quality Controller created an honor board for the honor students of Term 1. Grade 2-5 students, who attained a high academic average for Term 1, were given medals and certificates in honor of their hard work. “This medal shows us how important good grades are,” a Grade 5 student said. Prizes such as pencil cases and colored pencils were given to Grade 1 students for getting high academic marks in Term 1.
Such an activity was held to help motivate students to try harder academically, as well as show the students that working hard does pay off. This activity also taught the students the benefit of studying for exams.
