KG2 Students Dress Up for Costume Day
KG2 students at Zakho International School, a SABIS® PPP school, dressed up for Costume Day on November 7, 2015. Responsible for organizing this event was the SABIS Student Life Organization® (SLO®), along with the help of prefects and teacher assistants.
A meeting first took place to discuss how to make the masks for Costume Day. Then the Deputy Lower Prefect and the Head Prefect started the activity by welcoming the KG2 students. They called the students by name to come on stage to introduce themselves and to show their costumes. Finally, the prefects asked the others to cheer for the KG2 students while they were on stage.
Afterward, the students began to color masks. When they finished coloring, the students wore them. By the end of the activity, they danced a little bit and then took some group photos.
This event took place in order for the students, prefects, and teacher assistants to build strong relationships between each other. It also was a great opportunity for prefects to be responsible for encouraging the students to behave in a respectable manner in the school. All participants really enjoyed the day.
