Zakho Hold Annual School Concert

On May 3, 2018, students in KG1-Grade 4 at Zakho International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, performed a “Trip through Time” concert at the Zakho Cultural Center.

At the concert, each grade level represented a different person or event from history and worked its way up to the present. For example, the presentation dedicated to “Charlie Chaplin” included an all-boy performance wearing suits, bowler hats, canes, and an adhesive mustache. Every presentation was accompanied by music to which the students danced to.

The purpose of this activity was to encourage students to show their talents and teach them about different people in history in an enjoyable and memorable way. “I really like performing on stage in my costume and I am proud of myself and my friends,” said a student.
