Zakho Hosts Football Competition for Grade 4, 5, and 6

Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 at Zakho International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, enjoys the opportunity to compete in a friendly football competition at school.

Five teams of eight students competed in the competition which was organized into rounds. Winning teams were able to move on to a second round. After two hours of fun and friendly competition, the PE teacher and school Director presented the winners with trophies and medals. The director also gave a speech to the students on the importance of working together and having good sportsmanship.

The purpose of the event was to create enthusiasm for sports at the school, and more importantly teach students the value of teamwork and friendly competition. “We had a lot of fun and it was a good to challenge ourselves by competing with other grades,” said a student.
