ZAKHO IS GR.5  STUDENTS ENJOYING A MATH COMPETITION

The Academic Department at Zakho International School held a Math competition for Grade 5 students. Six students from each section were to take part in the contest. One student, each at a time, had to stand up against two others from the two other teams. After the competition came to an end, Grade 5C won the competition, and were rewarded with medals, trophies, and other gifts. Therefore, the students learned that competing against partners can help to achieve personally as well as academically. They learned about concepts such as winning and losing, by playing by the rules, being fair, and the value of putting in their best efforts.
