KG 2 students at Zakho International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, participated in a painting activity at the school on October 15, 2016.
On the day of the activity, students sat at their tables and excitedly waited to receive paint and a picture to color in. The students thought carefully about the colors they wanted on their papers and proceeded to color the pictures. Once everyone finished, the students put their work on the display board that was prepared by the Activity Coordinator and the art teacher. In this way, students had the chance to look at everyone’s art work.
The purpose of this activity was to show students that each person has a unique way of painting, or doing anything in life. It was a good way to teach students that people have different ideas and goals and they are all beautiful. “It was a great opportunity for students to see we are all unique in our own respective way,” shared a teacher.
